Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society (MHAS) will be organizing the 1st ASEAN CONFERENCE ON HEALTHY AGEING together with Sarawak Convention Bureau from 10th-12th October 2017 at the Pullman Hotel in Kuching, Sarawak where top minds will gather to discuss the issues and challenges of ageing affecting the region as well as discuss models that have been successful.

As many ASEAN nations face their own unique challenges in ageing, the 1st ASEAN CONFERENCE ON HEALTHY AGEING 2017 will be an ideal platform to promote knowledge sharing and networking for stakeholders.

This first of its kind conference in this region, will bring together medical professionals, pharmacists, nurses, allied health professionals, alternative and complementary medicine practitioners, lawyers, caregivers, government officials, health care product distributors, financial institutions, insurance companies, non-governmental organizations, pharmaceutical companies, as speakers, delegates, and exhibitors.

In 2012, MHAS took the lead role in organizing the 1st World Congress on Healthy Ageing in Kuala Lumpur. The success of the conference attracted South Africa to host the 2nd World Congress on Healthy Ageing in 2015 and the 3rd World Congress is now being planned to be hosted in Turkey, in 2018. With the experience of organizing major events and our wide network, we are confident the ASEAN Conference on Healthy Ageing 2017 will be another major success.

It will also be another first for Malaysia and for MHAS.
