ISQua’s 35th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Malaysia will be hosting ISQua’s 35th International Conference from 23rd to 26th September 2018 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. This global event will be officiated by His Royal Highness Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah. The theme for the conference is “Heads, Hearts and Hands : Weaving the Fabric of Quality and Safety”. Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) is delighted in hosting this three full-day programme and the expected 1,500 delegates from more than 80 countries, to help in spreading the Quality and Safety in healthcare as well as in raising the organisation’s profile among the many influential participants of the conference.

This global event will be giving a golden opportunity to take home new perspectives, ideas and plans for the fast evolving healthcare marketplace. ISQua conference offers multiple types of sessions, varying from 90 minutes of in-depth talks to fifteen minutes of flash presentations to innovative e-posters. Each covering all the tracks. The ISQua’s 35th International Conference will cover topics that matter most to the healthcare industry, such as looking after the ‘second victim’, climate change and health, inequalities in health, tackling NCD’s (non-communicable diseases) ensuring that the participants are kept abreast on the latest developments in these areas.
One of the session highlights at the 35th ISQua International Conference is the discussion session with Chris Power, the CEO of the Canadian Patient Safety Institute and Annette Down, Senior Healthcare Risk Management Specialist from the Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada. It will be an informative discussion on ‘Patient Safety Culture Bundle,’ targeting CEOs and senior leaders in healthcare management.
The ISQua Fellowship Awards is another highlight of this global event that will take place on 25th September 2018. Participants who have fully completed the ISQua Fellowship Programme shall be awarded the Fellowship status which is an internationally recognised and respected programme delivering content to participants from leading experts in the quality and safety in the healthcare.
Another much-awaited programme during ISQua 2018 will be the educational visit to Kuala Lumpur Hospital and KPJ Tawakkal Specialist Hospital. This visit will provide exposure and insight to the participants especially the international delegates on the healthcare system in Malaysia.
